Course structure

The published LFC IR(R) course comprises 15 hours of dual instrument instruction and a ground examination.

Basic instrument handling and recovery from unusual attitudes
Radio navigation and position fixing
Instrument approach procedures and partial-panel techniques
Instructor availability can be more limited than for general PPL training
