AOPA course content

The AOPA Basic course develops a safe foundation before progression to the Standard course.

  • Eight hours of ground training and eight hours of flying form the published Basic syllabus, followed by an end-of-course test
  • Slow flight, stalling, unusual-attitude and spin recovery
  • Maximum-rate turns, loops, rolls, stall turns and combination sequences
  • Previous aerobatic experience may be credited following instructor assessment
  • LFC is registered with AOPA as an aerobatic training organisation
